Professional Land Surveyor Application
- If you have passed your Principles and Practice of Land Surveying (PS) Examination and have NOT been issued a LS license in any other jurisdiction please select the EXAMINATION option on the top of the application. (This application is not for receiving approval to take the PS exam. As of August 1, 2023 individuals do not need prior Board approval to take the PS exam and my register for this exam at any time.)

Please follow all instructions on the application carefully, applications must be typed and printed on single sided paper. Hand written applications or applications printed on two sided paper will not be accepted.
If you are NOT using an NCEES record, form number NDPELS-PERS-05 must accompany your application. If you are using an NCEES record, you do not need to fill out form NDPELS-PERS-05. All NCEES records must have been transmitted within one year of the date of application.
Do not leave any sections of this application blank! Any application received with a blank section(s) will be considered incomplete. All incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned to the sender.
North Dakota’s registration fee is 150.00 dollars, this can be made by check, money order, or via credit card using the link below.

Applications and fees will need to be mailed to our office at NDPELS 3255 Greensboro Dr, Ste 203 , Bismarck, ND 58503
If you choose to pay by card you must include your stripe receipt number this will be in a XXXX-XXXX format. Applications that are received and do not contain our registration fee will not be processed and will be returned to the sender.
Applications may take up to 8 weeks to process, all applications will be processed in the order they were received.
